We held at least two prototype testing sessions for each prototype.
Our prototype testing template consisted of the following:
A slide deck explaining the purpose of the prototype and showing what the idea would look like in practice. For example:
An example slide illustrating the idea of equity certifications. You can view the full decks on the prototype pages for the Green Book 2.0 and Designer Toolkit & Equity Certifications.
A series of questions related to the prototype, such as:
What additional features does this prototype need?
Who should be involved in developing this prototype?
What similar ideas or resources do you know of?
Are there other ways you’d like to be involved?
An example question slide with feedback from participants.
A list of folks from our networks (including design sprint participants who had developed the original ideas) we thought would provide helpful feedback.
At least 2 session dates/times to meet with folks on Zoom
In these Zoom sessions, we presented the prototype and then left the majority of the time for feedback and discussion. Sometimes, this was done through slides where folks could leave their comments, and other times discussion was held primarily out loud.
